THE GREAT COMMISSION INSTITUTE
This one-year Diploma in Theology has two key emphases:
1. Bible Centred
Training people in the objective truth of God’s Word, to equip them to minister in the subjective-truth-culture of modern Australia.
2. Spirit Led
Developing people who can apply God’s Word in a real-life ministry setting.
why?
Billy Graham once said that Bible College will be a “cold and lifeless” experience if it’s detached from real-life evangelism and discipleship.
The Church is in steady decline in Australia. Despite sincere efforts, an aspect that contributes to this is how ministry leaders have been traditionally trained.
There are currently two dominant ways to educate for ministry, one that focuses on being Bible centred, the second on being Spirit led. The uniqueness of this program is that it combines these two - mixing high-quality biblical and theological teaching, with training that equips people to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.
Through this approach, students will encounter rich Bible and theological training and be exposed to real world ministry experience to ignite this knowledge — knowledge on fire.

Expression of interest are open and we invite you to register your interest for participating in either accredited study (fee help available), or an ‘audit’ study experience. (Audit study is when you do the classes for the content only, you do not do the exams and as such do not get a qualification. Audit study is cheaper than accredited study).
The leadership will assess the expressions of interest and communicate back to interested parties by the end of 2024.
